Welcome to Warden Court
We moved from Suffolk to this beautiful borderland after closing our Fine Art gallery. We’ve been busy restoring Warden Court more or less ever since and recently completed restoration of the north-west wing to create a first class apartment. We are proud we’ve been able to save as much as possible from the original building while adding plenty of modern comforts.
Incidentally, the apartment boasts a fine selection of contemporary paintings from Indonesia – which was our gallery speciality. To find out more about our fine-art collections please click here.
Warden Court sits at the corner of St. David's Street and High Street, a few minutes' walk from Presteigne's eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and pubs.
The apartment is located on two floors of this Grade II listed Regency Villa and comprises, on the ground floor, a well-equipped and large kitchen/dining area, created from restoration of the town's Doctors Surgery. On the floor above, accessed by the original pitch-pine staircase, there is a comfortable sitting-room and spacious bedroom, with adjacent bathroom. There are attractive oriel balcony windows in the sitting room and bedroom, each with oblique views as far as the castle ruins at Stapleton.
